: Friday : Moment :

This moment, inspired by Soulemama, is an ongoing Friday tradition for many. The object is to post a moment from the past week and to leave it wordless. Pictures speak a thousand words on their own and inspire one's own imagination and speculation.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week, I am grateful for:
~ Having the most understanding partner in the entire world ~
~ Being home with the boys ~
~ The ability to choose in life even when there is no money ~
~ Our family's health ~
~ The fortunate patch of openness in our yard (the rest is saturated with tall pines and a few tall competing oaks)... it makes a garden possible ~
~ Great books and wonderful online resources ~
~ Personal friends that own chickens, bees, sheep, rabbits, goats, and extensive gardens.....they are wonderful resources of information or even babies (chicks, kids, lambs..) if needed in the future ~
~ The relationships in my life ~
~ Summer ~
~ Domesticity ~
How about you? Do you have a moment you would like to share. What are you grateful for these days? Add your link to the comments below if you like. Hope you all had a great week and have a wonderful weekend, as well.
  3. Girl, it just makes me so happy that others are grateful for domesticity as well. It's a wonderful thing. At the moment, I'm feeling grateful for our home full of people and pets, thrift stores to be thrifted, and this hot cup of coffee sitting in front of me.
    Totally cute photo. :)
    Have a fun weekend!
  7. Chicken love! I, too, am grateful for staying home with my girls and homeschooling. Sure, we could have 2 incomes and lots more "stuff" and more financial security but I am grateful for the choice our family has made.
    Glad you stopped by my blog so I could find yours!
  12. What a wonderful moment! We have one chicken that my kids treat like a pet. She roosts in the tree over the coop and free ranges during the day. She also thinks she is a rooster and crows every morning at the rising sun!
  16. This is actually my friend's house and her chickens (I wish it were mine as of now....I so want chickens). But yes, Jared (almost 5) got to gather fresh eggs.....not Dylan (2), though. I am afraid he might think they are fun to throw or something. :)
  22. What a lovely picture. We always had chickens when I was growing up and seeing them brings back so many warm memories of farm life. I live in the city now, but still find room to do some gardening. Maybe someday we'll live where we have room to grow more and raise some animals. Right now, I am thankful for my sweet family, good health, a wonderful marriage and my sweet baby boy. Everything else is just a lucky bonus. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I do so enjoy meeting new folks this way!
  36. What a great moment. Even though you don;t have your own chickens yet your son still gets the oppertunity to see where his food come from. that is so great! I am thankful for the oppertunity to be home with my children and schooling them here too. I am also thankful for all the skills I have learned out of the need of frugalness. One income is more of a blessing than anything. Thanks for sharing :)
