As I love watching the children grow, I also love watching the garden progress daily. It is wonderful to think a few pumpkin seeds and a couple yellow squash seeds could produce such a large, heavily blooming, hardy group of plants. We chose to grow our pumpkins vertically on a trellis instead of allowing it to spread freely throughout the garden. The vines naturally become stronger as the pumpkins grow because they easily adapt to sustaining the weight of the pumpkins themselves. We will see in the coming weeks how they develop.
So, I suppose I will spend this week preparing to bring Jared to school. It begins the following week. I am very excited for him, as he has been looking forward to its beginning. Also, I cannot wait to become involved and form valuable relationships with other parents and teachers. I love talking to like-minded people and those who truly care for their children's education and upbringing.
Furthermore, Luke and I were fantasizing about the future when we can resume normal function in our family's ongoings as we once did. He wants to take snowboarding classes when we go to Tahoe, to take guitar lessons, to take official swimming classes next summer, to attend summer camp of some sort, to play soccer with a local league, and of course visit several places as we used to when he was little. Jared wants to also learn to swim, learn an instrument, attend a summer nature day camp, and potentially learn to ski. Dylan...well, Dylan is going to stick close to Mommy for a while. He needn't attend a class of any kind or stray very far from home and any journeys we take as a family. He has a couple of years before worrying about all that jazz. The only thing I can forsee wanting to spend money on with him will be the parent-tot classes at our local Waldorf private school. Hmmm, I may want to take a few vocal classes and photography classes at our local community college. Took a few of each in high school, but I could use some refinement in both areas.
I am not sure what to expect of this week, other than getting caught up on many things and reformatting my daily schedule as the school year draws near.

This is our last week before school begins again as well. I am so sad to see summer end, but the structure that the school year provides is sometimes necessary to retain ones sanity ;) Beautiful post...good luck!
